Jason Burrell is a Rheological Painter currently residing in Cambridge, Massachusetts, who has lived and worked in the Bay State his entire life.

Jason works with industrial acrylic enamels to create paintings in/as liquid pools.
Rheology, the study of the deformation and flow of matter, is the primary principle upon which his creative philosophy and all his techniques are founded.

Essentially unschooled, Jason has nonetheless been dilligent in his artistic experimentation, and could probably teach you a thing or two, mister! Jason works to convey his personal symbolisms and dream imagery through his artwork within the confines of his rheological techniques. The challenge of harnessing liquid is one he loves.

Jason Burrell is currently working nearly full-time as a professional artist, and is accepting commissions. Most work shown on the site is for sale. Please feel free to contact him regarding any piece shown in which you may be interested.

For information about Jason's exhibitions and demonstrations, please refer the Events page.

What is Rheological Art anyway?
